We just had our kitchen which we bought from betta living fitted and i have to say it looks amazing! really top quality. I have read some of the reviews and can honestly we never went through any of that stuff but i will pass on this tip for anyone wanting to save some serious money, What you should do is give their trade dept a ring which i did and got a designer round called tony who did a fantastic design and gave me a quote for 14 cabinets in the textured walnut plum with aubergine for £3500 without any appliances or fitting, normally that would have cost £8000 just for the cabinets! yes they do come as a flatpack which was no problem as my fitters put them together really quickly who i may add also worked for moben and kbbc they even said that the quality is very high and they were like in the top end of the market. i bought all my appliances from ebay for example a hotpoint induction hob which was brand new for £250 rrp £679.00 and a siemans oven for £200 rrp £600 so saved tons! their customer care was lovely and i should say a big thanks to steve healey who works in post installation dept who was brill as the wife changed her mind regarding the handles right at the last minute and he very kindly swapped them over to the t-bar which we received the next morning down here in wapping london. So my kitchen all in cost me £7000 where normally by going the other route would have cost me £15000. very very satisfied! |

They advertise that they have a customer care policy, bit of a joke really as on 18th August the handle on the kitchen window failed to engage, which of course meant that it did not close, my 86 year old mother is a bit deaf, was worried that "someone could get in" & also that not securing the window would invalidate the house insurance - so slept at the kitchen table, when I rang them on the morning of 19th to ask for an engineer to attend, I was informed that someone would come on 16th september. When I asked if my mother was expected to sleep at the kitchen table till then, and not leave the house either I was told that they were not concerned where she slept - it was not their problem. How Customer caring is that. I rang a loca locksmith who arrived within the hour, fixed the problem and had his bill paid and had left 15 minutes later. I did e-mail & write to the norwich office, - have i had a letter of reply! no, would I ever use this firm again No. katiekarr at 29th Aug 2010, 05:54PM |

Bought my first item at Easter 2010 but wrong thing sent out asked for correct item to be sent no reponse but did get a refund. Since then in 4.5 months I have had to return 2 tanzanite drop pendants as both were pitted 1 also had a crack, a flourite pendant that looked nothing like it appeared on website even allowing for variations, a necklace that could not be done up, a pendant with extremely poor quality silverwork & a badly damaged bail. I have sent several emails & 2 letters & received zero response. Presenters endlessly squawk about customer care, quality, attention to detail etc. but none of this evident in my experience. Customer service claim not to know the company's registered address or the names of any directors. cmb at 29th Aug 2010, 03:50PM |

I would advise anyone considering doing business with this company to read the 'Conditions of Sale' section on the reverse of the Contract & Schedule, paying particular attention to section 10.(c)which basically allows them to cancel up to ten days after the survey report has been carried out, however you are tied in from date of signing the agreement. To my mind, the whole thing was a con to get my business in the first instance, delay by a few weeks and up-sell on basis that you have set your heart on your specified kitchen and will therefore accept any additional costs just to get it. Despite being wary and ensuring that all my requirements were specified on both contracts, to ensure there was no misunderstandings, they still managed to find something to add on additional costs for - although I know of noone who would expect to have two different finishes/textures on a 'matching kitchen'. Do business with them at your peril!!! jbennett at 29th Aug 2010, 02:11PM |
| Parcel2go.com | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Good company, no complaints here. I have used parcel2go.com approx 50 times I always use them when selling large items online. As a private ebay seller I do not have accounts with delivery firms and was paying a fortune at the post office to send big items. Some items were worth less than the postage that Royal Mail or Parcel Force were asking for delivery so I was listing as collection only. This was detrimental to my sales as the item is only accessible to people locally who can travel to collect it, I may aswell have just put it in the local paper. Then someone recommended parcel2go.com I was amazed that I could send pushchairs, cots etc for less than £10. Not only are they good value but it's so convenient I book the collection online, pay with the paypal funds that the buyer has paid me & then the parcel is collected from my home. The parcels are often delivered within 24 hours even on a 48 hour service. Parcel2go always send follow-up emails asking how my experience was & I also get a discount for displaying their logo on my auctions. People are complaining about lost & damaged parcels but this is the carriers fault not parcel2go, they just arrange the courier they do not handle the parcels. I have absolutely no complaints with parcel2go infact I recommend them to everyone especially people who are limiting their sales by listing as "Collection only" cos they think delivery will be too expensive for heavy/bulky items. Do not shope with Harveys!!! This is a warning not even a statement. You will wait 6 months or more and receive your furniture damaged. Some customers have been returning their goods several times. They take few orders before sending them through to the factory that makes them abroad. Then they are made and shipped over here on the boat, or maybe the day you order they just plant the seed???? Who knows.... martapol at 28th Aug 2010, 12:14PM |

Don't use this company! I was given the contact details by a friend at work who had just ordered her new kitchen, so was unaware of what the compnay was like, however her compnay name was given as Simply Kitchens. I ordered with kitchens now. When you call you will either be greeted with switchboard or just a hello, I have wasted hours trying to contact them by phone, you are left hanging on or if you do get through and they say that they will transfer you, you will be left ringing for at least 3 mins, then you will be cut off. Customers Services (should be renamed, no service). I ordered what I was told was a £5000 kitchen and recieved a 52% discount the amount I had to pay was £2,300, which I thought was a good deal. I was told that they can do it this this price due to the volumes that they purchase. I was not left a business card by the designer, but I requested his telephone number. He would not accept a cheque as a deposit, I did not have cash in the house, so he drove me to a cash point. In the next week I left 3 seperate voicemail messages for him as I has some questions about the kitchen and the layout, Jindi never bothered to call me back. Once we finally had a delievery date sorted I was advised that all my kitchen was ready to be delievered. I specifically asked if it was all there and was told yes. In the 5 days before the delievery date, I recieved 3 calls one on a Sunday asking me how paymnent was to be made, on each occasion I confirmed bankers draft. On the delievery day, my husband recieved a call to say that the solid oak worktops were not in and a 500mm wall unit was missing. I will not bore you with the details, however despite at least 20 calls to the compmany and e-mails. I have not got my itens, however I did hold back £300 in cash when the delievery was made, not sure why I did this as I was going to pay the full amount by bankers draft, but glad that I did or they would owe me even more! I have been told by kitchens Now that they cannot tell me when the other items will be in and to keep my £300 and buy the solid wood work tops elsewhere and the 500mm unit! This is an appauling company their main aim is to rip people off. The kitchen that we did recieved had no holes for any of the the door hinges or shelves and no instuctions. DON'T get caught like us! debbie.redman@ntlworld.com at 28th Aug 2010, 12:11PM |

Decided to give them a try for my business. I sent a special battery which is certified for use at sea and in oil rigs - actually Lloyds certified as tough enough for those conditons!... DHL did the pick up from me and before it reached the customer they'd....smashed it! Yes, something designed to withstand force 10 or more at sea they managed to break. Luckily DHL have £100 standard insurance... except when it's via Parcel2go when you only get £50.. so not only did I lose money on that, but had to pay for a replacement to my customer. Since DHL pay up to £100 as standard, makes you wonder where the other £50 goes doesn't it? You could pay extra, but it was considerable and after all, what could happen to something certified as safe at sea... ?! This was the first item I'd sent in my new business too, if Parcel2go had paid me the £100, even as goodwill bearing in mind I explained what a disaster it was for me as my first ever business sale (you can imagine how i felt), I'd have accepted accidents happen and put the thousands I've spent since & in the future with ParcelForce with parcel2go instead, so for the sake of £50 they've lost thousands off me alone. The customer told me that the guy who delivered it was not in a DHL uniform and was in a scruffy unmarked van, so it seems as if the service was subcontracted twice over... and so it's obvious that service is bound to fall down if that sort of thing is going on. Other parcels went uncollected on the right day and so on (HDNL). Needless to say i dont use Parcel2Go now. I pay more now, but my customers report good on time delivery and I get the same drivers, so build up a relationship and so far, they've been more careful with my parcels - it's worth the extra money when trying to save a few pounds can get you a really bad name if your customer does not understand it's not your fault thats the items are late/trashed or both!. Now very shocked to see Parcel2go in emaiuls blatantly offering the chance to win an IPod if you put a ***good*** rating on here for them. That would completely destroy the credibility of this site if companies can openly get good writeups in effect by offering incentives. I hope blagger.com pick that up as it could ruin the whole point of people being able to rely on write-ups and make it an unreliable site, which would be a real shame. Incidentaly, I am posting a good report for Parcelforce, so this is balanced. NOTE, tried to post this as 4 stars but sytem won't allow it! numenius at 27th Aug 2010, 09:10PM |
